Community Service Event: Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) & Peer Support Initiative
This community service event brings together our Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) and Peer Support members and clients for a meaningful, life-saving initiative.

In partnership with Joyce Craig, Regional Overdose Prevention Specialist, participants will receive educational training on Substance Use Awareness and Overdose Prevention. These classes are designed to increase knowledge, reduce stigma, and empower individuals to respond effectively in emergency situations.

Following the training, attendees will participate in a hands-on assembly of Opioid Overdose Reversal Kits, which include Narcan (naloxone). These kits will be distributed throughout the community, ensuring that individuals, families, and organizations have access to critical tools needed to reverse opioid overdoses.

This initiative directly impacts public health by equipping community members with education, resources, and practical support—helping to prevent overdose deaths and save lives across eight counties.
