Crisis Walk-In Centers
Centerstone’s Crisis Walk-In Centers provide immediate, in-person support for individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis. Walk-in centers offer a safe, confidential environment where you can be assessed, receive crisis intervention, and be connected with ongoing care or other crisis services.
No appointment is needed, and our teams are trained to help you stabilize and access the resources you need. Generally, you can stay at our Walk-In Center for up to 23 hours per day depending on your personal circumstances and needs.

Our Crisis Stabilization Units provide short-term, intensive support for individuals in acute mental health crises. Crisis Stabilization Units are designed to manage situations where symptoms are severe enough to require more structured care than outpatient services, but hospitalization is not necessary.
The goal is rapid stabilization, safety, and connection to ongoing care or community resources. Generally, you can stay at our Crisis Stabilization Unit for up to five days, depending on your personal circumstances and needs.

Centerstone’s Crisis Residential Facility in Carterville, Illinois provides compassionate, short-term crisis care in a supportive and stabilizing environment for adults experiencing acute mental health challenges. Individuals may be struggling to manage symptoms that are too severe for outpatient care but do not require more intensive care like that offered in a Crisis Stabilization Unit or inpatient hospital.
This service can also serve as a step-down option for those transitioning out of a Crisis Stabilization Unit or psychiatric hospitalization, offering continuity of care in a supportive setting. Generally, you can stay at our Crisis Residential Facility for up to three days, depending on your personal circumstances and needs.
